Terms of Service

Last updated: May 15, 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Inline's websites, apps, APIs, SDKs, bot surfaces, MCP server, and related services (the "Services"). By using Inline, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use Inline on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, "you" includes both you and the organization.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally able to use the Services and to agree to these Terms. Inline is not intended for children under 13. You may not use the Services if applicable law bars you from doing so.

2. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for your account and for activity under your credentials. Keep login codes, sessions, API tokens, bot tokens, MCP grants, and integration credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.

We may require verification, rate-limit requests, revoke sessions, or suspend access when needed to protect users or the Services.

3. The Services

Inline is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time.

We try to keep Inline fast and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, preservation of every draft or cached item, or compatibility with every device, operating system, integration, model, or third-party service.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means messages, files, profile information, workspace data, prompts, bot commands, integration data, and other content you submit to or process through Inline.

You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant Inline a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, process, and otherwise use Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services and as otherwise permitted by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights and permissions needed to submit it to Inline and share it with other users, bots, integrations, or third-party services.

5. Organizations and Workspaces

If you join a space or workspace controlled by an organization, that organization may manage access, members, settings, integrations, exports, retention choices, and content available in that workspace. Inline is not responsible for an organization's own use of information it controls.

6. Acceptable Use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use Inline to violate law, infringe rights, send spam, abuse users, distribute malware, attack systems, scrape or overload the Services, or bypass product limits.

7. Developer Features, Bots, and MCP

Inline may provide APIs, SDKs, bot tools, MCP tools, command surfaces, webhooks, and plugin integrations. You are responsible for anything you build or connect, including permissions, token security, user notices, and compliance with applicable laws and third-party terms.

Do not use developer features to access content without authorization, exfiltrate data, send unsolicited messages, bypass rate limits, impersonate others, or create a misleading user experience.

8. AI-Assisted Features and Integrations

Some features may use third-party AI providers or user-enabled integrations such as Notion, Linear, Loom, OpenAI, or Anthropic. You are responsible for choosing to use those features, for the content you submit to them, and for reviewing their output before relying on it.

AI-generated or integration-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your use case. Inline does not guarantee that any particular model, provider, integration, or output will be available or suitable.

Do not submit sensitive information to AI-assisted features or third-party integrations unless you are allowed to do so and accept the risks and terms that apply to that provider.

9. Fees

Some Services may be free, in alpha or beta, usage-based, or offered as paid plans. If you buy a paid plan or credits, you agree to pay the fees shown at purchase or in the applicable order. Taxes may apply. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

If a plan renews automatically, renewal terms will be shown at purchase or in the applicable order. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want the plan to renew.

10. Privacy and Security

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. Our Security page describes current security practices. Inline is not currently end-to-end encrypted.

11. Third-Party Services

Inline may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Inline is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of data you send to them.

12. Intellectual Property and Feedback

Inline and its software, design, logos, names, and related materials are owned by Inline or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to Inline intellectual property except the limited right to use the Services as permitted by these Terms.

If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Inline at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for users or the Services, fail to pay fees, or if we are required to do so by law.

After termination, some provisions continue to apply, including sections about content responsibility, fees owed, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute handling.

14. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inline disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inline will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inline's total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid Inline for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

16. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold Inline harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Services, your integrations or bots, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
